The service

FillOut helps you organize information, work through form questions and prepare immigration documents. Free self-preparation and supported paid guided preparation are different options. Follow the availability and scope shown in the app before purchasing.

Independent preparation, not legal advice

FillOut is not USCIS, a government agency or a law firm. Form suggestions, preliminary checks, guided questions and team review are preparation assistance, not legal advice or a determination that you qualify for an immigration benefit. Using the service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Consult a qualified immigration attorney or an accredited representative when you need legal advice.

You are responsible for checking your answers, current USCIS form editions and instructions, signatures, supporting documents, filing address and deadlines. FillOut does not submit your application to USCIS, pay government fees or guarantee acceptance, processing time or a government decision. Attorney representation and mailing services are not included.

Accounts and your information

Provide accurate information and use only documents you are authorized to handle. Keep your account credentials private. You remain responsible for your answers and should review every document before signing or filing. Submitted guided forms require team approval before the app releases the reviewed PDF for download or printing. Team review does not guarantee legal eligibility or government acceptance.

Keep copies of documents you need. Editable drafts are stored locally and are not synchronized between devices; recovering paid access does not recover lost local answers. See the Privacy Policy for what is uploaded and what account deletion removes.

Free attorney contact requests

You can submit a free request for attorney contact from the app. With your separate consent, the FillOut owner manually shares your contact details, selected form and question with independent attorneys who may contact you directly. FillOut does not charge for submitting this request, automatically assign a lawyer, or promise a response, appointment or representation. Any legal services, fees and engagement must be agreed directly with the attorney.

One payment per application

Where offered, an iOS in-app purchase pays for guided preparation of the application and product shown before checkout. It is not a recurring subscription. Reopening and correcting that same paid application do not require another purchase. A new application or a separately priced add-on may require another purchase. Included components are limited to the package shown in the app.

Apple displays the actual localized price before you confirm. Government filing fees, attorney services, mailing and other third-party costs are separate. A FillOut purchase does not pay a government fee. Access is tied to the original FillOut account and verified transaction; purchases are not a way to transfer an application to another account. Internet access is needed to verify a purchase and use online review or Chat.

Payment problems and refunds

If a purchase appears unfinished, use the app’s payment check or restore-access option and contact Support before purchasing again. For an Apple-billed purchase, you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple determines eligibility and handles the request; a refund is not guaranteed. See Apple’s refund instructions.

A refunded or revoked purchase can end further paid access to the related application. It does not delete copies you have already exported. Deleting your FillOut account does not automatically request a refund. These terms do not limit rights that applicable consumer law gives you.

Availability and contact

Features and supported forms can change, and online services may be interrupted. Do not rely on FillOut to monitor or extend a filing deadline. No guaranteed response or preparation time is stated here. We post updated terms on this page. Questions about the service can be sent through Support.
